Protect Windows Server with DiskSafe Agent

Please refer to the steps below on how to Protect Windows Server with DiskSafe Agent

  1. Download and install FalconStor DiskSafe Agent – DiskSafe-4.22-2226-IMA-3.01-836-Windows.exe on Windows 2012R2 Server.

Install by accepting all default settings and reboot server when prompted

  1. Start Windows ISCSI Service and set it to startup automatically
Start the ISCSI Services
Get-Service | ? name -like "*iscsi*" | Start-Service
Set-Service -Name MsiSCSI -StartupType Automatic

Protect Windows Server with Disksafe Agent

  1. Double click on DiskSafe and Right Click on Disks-Protect

  1. Select Disk 0 to protect the entire C Drive**

  1. Click New Disk-Add Server and enter the information below
  • Server Name = IP ADDRESS of CDPVA
  • User Name = fsadmin
  • Password = IPStor101
  • ISCSI – Checked

  1. Enable thin provisioning to minimize the storage usage

  1. Click Next to continue

  1. Click Next to continue with default settings

  1. Define the protection schedule, daily or hourly for syncronization

  1. Click Next to continue

  1. Click Next to continue

  1. Click Finish to start the initial syncronization

Wait for the First Syncronization to complete
